This easy to moderate circular trail starts in die Sportsarea Grube and goes through the Pfitschtal Alpine valley at the foot of the Zillertal Alps in two loops, and is a real insiders' tip due to its idyllic location and guaranteed snow. The trail is perfect for both classic and skating-style cross-country skiing and is prepared daily.
The Platschjoch High-Altitude Trail starts just below the mountain station of the Ratschings-Jaufen cable car, at the valley station of the Rinneralm chairlift (3 min. walk). It goes towards the Kalcheralm Alpine farm and then along the forest road to the Jaufenpassstraße road. Cross the road and continue a little way into the area of the Platschjoch mountain. You then loop round to go back down to the Rinneralm.

The Ridnauntal/Val Ridanna Circular Trail starts in Maiern/Masseria. It goes along the Fernerbach stream down the valley to the hamlet of Braunhöfen, where it goes round in a loop. This is followed by a climb up to Gasse and the Joggelehof farm, where you do a loop and then start on your way back. First you follow the same route back to Ridnaun/Ridanna; then you follow the trail in a number of loops of varying degrees of difficulty back up the valley to Maiern/Masseria.
The circular slope Erl in Pflerschtal/Val di Fleres, offers the best conditions, especially for experienced cross-country skiers.
The trail starts in Ast/Lasta in the Pflersch/Fleres valley. Surrounded by a fantastic mountain backdrop, the trail continues on a steady incline out of the valley to Giggelberg/Moncucco near Gossensass/Colle Isarco. Only skating style.
In winter, in addition to 20 km of sunny slopes for skiing, beautifull snowshoe hikes and long toboggan rides await you all winter long. The Rosskof run is Italy’s longest illuminated and artificial snow covered toboggan trail. Off the slopes you will find various idyllic cozy mountain huts and shelters with great culinary dishes, influenced by the Austrian and Italian cuisine.
In summer the Rosskopf offers a great pasture landscapes and beautiful hiking trails and a few adventurous attractions for all ages.
A short trip across the enchanting Ratschingstal valley takes you to the bottom station of the Ratschings-Jaufen lift. Already during the comfortable ascent with the ultra-modern 8-seat cable car, you can admire the fantastic winter landscape around you that will make you look forward to a wonderful day of skiing. High above, at 2,150 m, you are already in the middle of pure snow fun.
The Rosskopf sledging track at Sterzing / Vipiteno is the longest floodlit and artificial snow covered tobbogan sledging track in Italy. It starts right by the Rosskopf cable car mountain station and runs for nearly 10 km round many twists and turns down to the valley station in Vipiteno/Sterzing where sledges can be hired.
Why not join a night-time sledging party on Friday evenings for a special experience on Sterzings local mountain. On these evenings the sledging trail is floodlit until midnight (cable car runs until 10 pm).

A new highlight on the local mountain of Sterzing / Vipiteno! Starting from the mountain station of the panoramalift at 2,120 meters above sea level, a mountain coaster is being installed on the Rosskopf. The course leads over a length of 1,300 m over a height difference of nearly 300 meters to the valley station of the panoramalift. Sounds like heaps of fun? It definitely will be, because with a gradient of 20% on average and a maximum of 56%, speeds of up to 40 km/h can be reached. That means spectacular fun for the young and old, amidst the breath-taking mountain panorama.
The natural toboggan run "Tonnerboden" is located in the quietest of our three valleys, the Jaufental/Val Giovo. Starting point is in Obertal/Val di Sopra. After a hike of about 10-15 minutes, the tobogganing can begin. A special tip is also the departure at night, as the toboggan run is illuminated every tuesday and thursday from 5p.m. until 9.30p.m.
For clubs or groups, the lighting can also be requested on other days.
In addition to the perfectly prepared race track, on which international competitions are also held, a recreational track is available to all hobby lugers, which is also illuminated.
The sled track at the Ratschings-Jaufen ski center is always in perfect condition for the joy of young and old alike! And what's nice about it is that tha cableway will take you right to the starting point! The sledging trail then starts immediately below the mountain station and proceeds right down to the valley (5 km).

The starting point for the ascent is the village of Telfes/Telves. From Obertelfes/Telves di Sopra you can reach the sunny situated pasture Freundalm, which is open all year round, in approx. 1.5 hours on the tracked toboggan run. After a pleasant rest in the mountain hut, you can enjoy a fun downhill run with the toboggan, which can also be hired directly at the Freundalm. TIP: The toboggan run is illuminated in the evening!
The Zirog/Zirago toboggan run leads from the mountain hut Enzianhütte to the village Brennerbad/Terme di Brennero.
The 6.5 km sleigh run is an inviting temptation for exciting group descents through the snowy woods. The start of the sleigh run is just below the upper ski lift station running down to the valley station. For those in search of absolute winter tranquillity, there’s the trail leading to the Allriss mountain pasture amidst a pristine landscape in the Upper Isarco Valley.
The 6.5 km sledge run is an inviting temptation for exciting group descents through the snowy woods. The start of the sledge run is just below the mountainstation of the gondola lift running down to the valley station.

The Allriss toboggan run is located in the Pflersch/Fleres valley and leads from the Allriss mountain hut down to the parking above St. Anton/S. Antonio. The low gradient is ideal for families with children.
