Hearty from the mountain meadows
The hosts of the 60 Alpine lodges and mountain cabins create delicious dishes from either sustainable sources or their own production. The menus range from simple snacks, referred to as Brettljause, with deliciously homemade raw milk cheese and butter, to delicate South Tyrolean specialities, such as dumpling dishes like Schlutzkrapfen or Bauerngröstl. Especially recommended is the local, excellently matured Tyrolean grey cheese. The fresh milk, whose taste is shaped by the grasses of the lush green Alpine meadows, is an absolute highlight as well.
