Müllerhütte

The refuge Müllerhütte is located at an altitude of 3.145m above the Übeltalferner and is reachable only crossing the glacier.

Starting point: valley head Ridanna –Masseria (1.417m)

Route: From the Ridnaun valley head (1,417 m) on trail no. 9 along the Fernerbach via Aglsboden up to the refuges Grohmannhütte (2,254 m) and the Teplitzer Hütte (2,586 m), then continue on trail or path no. 9 over boulders and rocky outcrops to the vicinity of the Übeltalsee lake, now climbing more steeply over a moraine up to a glacier arm mentioned above, crossing it to the foot of the Becherfelsen and on the partly rope-secured rocky path in serpentines up to the Becherhaus. From the Becherhaus, continue on a slightly descending to level glacier crossing (watch out for crevasses!) to the Müllerhütte. Mountaineering experience, surefootedness and appropriate equipment are essential!
