It originates from the caldera of a volcano that has been extinct for millions of years. Typical of lava rock, the Bolzano porphyry is reddish in colour. Our rock was discovered by chance on a farm. The atypical white inclusions make it a very special piece of stone with a strong character. Its hardness, substance, and beauty make it a building material for eternity.

"Plima" is a special granite from the Val Martello in Val Venosta. It is named after the river there was taken from this river-bed and re-inserted near yours here in Sole. Some pieces also come from the meadows of local farmers or from rubble cones. So, there is no quarry, Plima is obtained purely from erratic blocks. This makes each stone truly unique.

In February 2014, a rockslide occurred in Tramin in the South Tyrolean lowlands. The Tramin dolomite came down from the mountain into the valley. The hard impact split it into two pieces, but that doesn't matter to a stone. The blocks were cut and gradually made available for interior design and interior decoration. It won't be there forever: That's what makes this special dolomite so beautiful and also valuable.
